It has been a while since Norwegian symphonic black
metallers Dimmu Borgir have given any new updates. The band announced in 2013
that they were working on a new album. Things seem to be moving along as they
are in pre-production for their tenth album. Shagrath has posted a picture on
the band's Facebook page where he says he is working on some new Dimmu Borgir
riffs. Will the band release the new album this year? That is still under wraps
for now but we will keep you posted.
In a 2014 interview, guitarist Silenoz stated about the
progress of the songwriting sessions for the band's follow-up to 2010's
Abrahadabra that they usually take two-three years in between each release of
the albums. Dimmu Borgir always take their time and if they rush things, then
it's not gonna be something they can stand behind anyway.
